First subtract the lower number from the higher to get the difference between them, next divide the result by the original number, then multiply that by 100.
Example:
What is the percent change from 120 to 180?
180 - 120 = 60
60 ÷ 120 = 0.5
0.5 × 100 = 50
So 120 to 180 is an increase of 50%.
